SUMMARY:Shoe Drive HC Youth Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Shoe us the love! Donate gently used or new shoes to help fund HC Youth for the 2028 Youth Gathering and other youth events. HC Youth will receive funds for donated shoes\, which will be shipped to micro-enterprises in developing countries where they help small business owners (many of whom are women) build better lives. The steps we take in collecting shoes have a greater impact by raising funds locally\, keeping shoes out of landfills\, and improving livelihoods in global communities. DESCRIPTION:HC Youth are off to a great adventure this summer for the 2025 LCMS Youth Gathering. Join us in praying for our youth and adult chaperones. This year’s theme is ENDURE from Hebrews 12:1-3. \n“Therefore\, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses\, let us also lay aside every weight\, and sin which clings so closely\, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us\, looking to Jesus\, the founder and perfecter of our faith\, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross\, despising the shame\, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself\, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.” (Hebrews 12:1-3) \nHeld every 3 years since 1980\, the LCMS Youth Gathering provides thousands of youth and adults the opportunity to come together as a community of God’s people to be encouraged in their walk with Jesus Christ and learn about the Christian faith and their Lutheran identity.
