It is important to give them spiritual substance, biblical structure, and support through the church. Here at Holy Cross, we take care of our youth.

Vision Awareness Sunday
The world is in bad shape. If we become complacent here, and do not cherish our treasure in His church, why should we care bout our far greater treasure in heaven? Allow God to use you to fufill his purpose through His church because it is a gift that we can currently understand, for our gift through God’s grace through the blood of Jesus Christ is unfathomable.

Live Life In His Name

Thomas wouldn’t believe in the resurrection of Jesus Christ unless he saw the physical evidence. We don’t have that opportunity but Jesus says “Blessed are those who believe who have not seen.” When you have doubts: 1) Recognize it; it’s real; 2) Redirect your will; 3) Renew your confession; and 4) Recognize that your have the live in his name.

Today, we live with urgency and walk in confidence through Christ. Don’t fall into the trap of “urgency busters” or things that take away from the glory of God. We are not a part of a cosmic coincidence because we were made by God for a purpose. Spend time with God’s word, understand your salvation through Jesus, feed your soul by coming to church (God’s house) and receive his great gifts—the sacraments, the fellowship, and the worship. Life is too short not to bear the cross, walk in the fire, and be a part of His church.

What is strength? It’s where your thoughts and inner feelings touch the outside world. We want to be the person that God wants us to be. Do you sometimes feel like you have an incredible weight on you? “Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.” [Mark 12:30] How do we love God with all our strength when we are sinners?

Ash Wednesday
Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit, leading to their mortality (“You are Dust, and to Dust You Shall Return” – Gen 3:19). This act brought spiritual death to humanity. Despite our inevitable mortality, Jesus’ sacrifice offers redemption and transformation, allowing us to live eternally with God.
