Fun Facts!
Favorite Comfort Food
Chicken fried steak is the ultimate comfort food, it’s crispy, tender, and smothered in creamy gravy, the Texas twang of battered meat or steak that went undercover as a fried chicken!
Hobbies
I like spending time outdoors—whether it’s hunting at sunrise, tending the garden, or firing up the smoker for some good BBQ.
Favorite Book / Movie
Besides the Bible as my favorite book, there are too many to name, but when it comes to movies, Hoosiers, Signs, and The Breakfast Club each speak to something deep—grit, faith, and the power of connection.
Superpower
If I could have a superpower, I’d love to fly over traffic, just soar past the brake lights, skip the stress, and enjoy the view. It’d be freedom, peace, and a shortcut all rolled into one.
Family
I’m incredibly blessed with a wonderful family—all of us living right here in College Station. My amazing wife is the heart of our home, full of grace, patience, strength, and humor. Our son and daughter, along with their awesome spouses, bring so much joy into our lives—and we’re especially thankful for our two grandkids, who we absolutely love to spoil!
Hobbies
I love booking travel for people, don’t care about the commissions but I love helping people find their destination and go. I frequently cut most of the commission … I just love helping people see more of God’s world.
Favorite Book about Ministry (Besides the Bible!)
That’s easy. An Hour On Sunday, by Nancy Beach. I’ve got three copies in my library. It will change your perspective on Worship.
Favorite Ministry Moment
Well, to be honest, Easter 2025. We pulled off an anthem I was told we would not be able to do. I was told, we don’t have enough in the choir, that the anthem needs 50 singers. Well, that anthem was awesome with 19.
Favorite Hymn or Worship Song
How Great Thou Art. Arranged for bass soloist by Dan Forrest.
Family
Janel and Ryan are my family and my rock in this earthly life. But Holy Cross is also my family and when you live 14 hours away from your family and friends, having a strong church family is very important. We love to shut the windows, draw the shades and enjoy movies and uno together. And of course, our silly dog, Cybi keeps us filled with laughter.
Favorite Comfort Food
My favorite comfort food is homemade soups or nachos. You can make anything out of nachos… tex-mex nachos, breakfast nachos, you name it!
Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy snow skiing, reading and cooking.
Favorite Book / Movie
My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice and my favorite movie is My Cousin Vinny – the TBS version!
Superpower
If I could have a superpower, I’d be able to give people Faith and the help they need.
Family
I have been married to Chuck for 28 years and we have two children, a son, Graham (18) and daughter, Reagan (16). We also have a dog named Chewbacca. We have traveled to all 50 states and enjoy snow skiing each season!
Favorite Comfort Food
My favorite comfort food is Mexican food. Chips and queso, anyone!?
Hobbies
In my free time, I enjoy reading and spending time with our grandkids.
Favorite Book / Movie
My favorite books are Where the Crawdads Sing, The Kite Runner and Gone WIth the Wind.
Superpower
If I could have a superpower, I’d choose the power to instill calm and peace– how handy this would be in working with children!
Family
I have been married to my husband Mike for 39 years and I have 2 grown children– Joshua and Jessica. I am blessed with 2 grandchildren Owen and Emma. Our family is fortunate to all live in College Station and we have been here for 28 years.
Favorite Comfort Food
My favorite comfort food is cheesy green beans – a generational family favorite since the earliest days of Velveeta and Campbell’s Soup combined with green beans.
Hobbies
I like to read, swim and spend time outside. I enjoy going to Texas Aggie sports events, visiting friends and family, and seeing the world!
Favorite Book / Movie
My favorite book is Cheaper by the Dozen by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey.
Superpower
If I could have a superpower, I’d choose time manipulation combined with efficiency because it would be amazing to speed up the work and slow down to enjoy the “more” out of life!
Family
Mark and I have been married since 2004 because he didn’t run away when I said that I think it would be fun to have 12 children (and thus a football team)! We agree that the 3 kids we have are wonderful most of the time and treasures always. Caden, Carter and Whitney keep us busy as they pursue their activities and interests, but we enjoy the blessings of God assembling our Graf family!
Favorite Comfort Food
My favorite comfort food is popcorn mixed with cheetos. You’ve gotta try it!

I have been married to my wonderful husband, Abraham, for nearly 8 years. We are blessed with our daughter and two sweet puppy dogs – we love to go for walks, hikes, and dinner dates!

Favorite Book / Movie
My favorite movie is Top Gun (the original, although the sequel is a close second) I love action movies.
Superpower
If I could have a superpower, I’d choose the ability to talk with animals. I’m an animal person at heart and I think they would have a lot to say and some good wisdom to share if they could communicate with us.
Family
I grew up in Minnesota, which is where most of my family still is. I moved to Bryan/College Station at the age of 16 with my parents and two siblings, all of which still live in this area. My husband Don and I have been married for 33 years and I have been blessed with a step-son and two awesome grandsons.

Favorite Book / Movie
You mean other than the Bible? Les Misérables by Victor Hugo (the book, not the movie—the movie was a D- at best).
Superpower
My superpower of choice would be the power cosmic. In fact, before meals, I often exclaim “I Hunger!”
