“Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17
The voice that cried “It is finished” still speaks today. Through the Word—read, preached, and proclaimed—Christ delivers the benefits of His death and resurrection. His Law calls sinners to repentance; His Gospel gives peace, forgiveness, and life. Those baptized into Christ continue to be shaped and sustained by His voice. The preached Word is not commentary—it is Christ Himself, speaking to His people, creating and strengthening faith.
